COMPREHENSIVE MINDFULNESS IS FOUNDATION

MINDFULNESS HAS BEEN DESCRIBED AS A PARTICULAR WAY OF PAYING ATTENTION: ON PURPOSE, IN THE PRESENT MOMENT, AND NONJUDGEMENTALLY(KABAT-ZINN 1994)

In order to develop wisdom, cultivation of mindfulness with right understanding is required. For example, you shall remain fully attentive while doing any bodily action. Whether it is raising of the arm, pointing any finger, or stepping ahead of the legs, etc. You must constantly remain in the present moment.

It is sheer foolishness to perform a task while thinking about other matters. It is a common human practice to jump from one thought to another unmindfully.  All of us must follow the practice of, ” Listen while listening, See while seeing only.” There is an old saying that you must ‘ work while working and play while playing’ to achieve success.

MINDFULNESS REDUCES STRESS

Cultivation and development of mindfulness helps in stress reduction. Various studies conducted have shown the results that the persons who remain mindfull are less stressed.

During the last 2-3 decades, several mindfulness-based stress reduction and mindfulness-based cognitive therapy have been developed. The results have established that a mindful person discharges his duties more efficiently. It has also proved that the mindfulness effects the human mental as well as physical health.

CREATIVITY IS ENHANCED.

Mindfulness adds in human creativity enhancement. An attentive and focused mind will certainly, be able to perform his task more efficiently. No doubt, that new idea, and concepts arise in an aware mind. In addition, the mindful person will use lesser energy and save the precious time too.
