We must become a WITNESS of our every metal and body actions. A question is certain to arise how to do this. To achieve it we shall watch our every activity mindfully. Whatever actions we perform, whether sitting, standing, walking or lying down, shall be watched as a witness.
It is very difficult to be a mindful watcher. Certainly, it requires continuous practice. Different mental thoughts distract us from it. Always we get involved some baseless thoughts. A mental feeling of sentiment or emotion arises as soon as a contact is established with an outside object. We shall refrain from this avoidable indulgence.
LIFE IS LIKE A FLOWING RIVER
Simply we can compare our life with a flowing river. Like a person sitting on a river bank watches all other things flowing, we shall also enjoy our life. So it is prudent to be a mindful watcher of our every activity.
We shall act consciously rather than mechanically. Conscious movements will certainly, change our perspective regarding life. By doing so we would be able to enjoy life pleasantly.
For example, we may perform any activity mechanically without being mindful. On the other hand, the same may be performed with being fully aware. In most of the cases, we act unconsciously. these are mechanical actions. While the activities performed with full awareness are termed as conscious activities.
In our daily life journey, we confront both favorable as well as unfavorable conditions. It is human nature to crave for favorable conditions. Further, we like to get rid off of the unfavorable one. By performing tasks as a witness we would be able to refrain from reactions.
Looking reflection of our face in a mirror is just like a mechanical watch. On the contrary, the recognition of feeling of the face from inside certainly is conscious.
QUALITY OF LIFE CHANGES
As soon as we start feeling it from within the quality of life also changes. Reactionary mental feelings and thoughts disappear. As a result, natural silence starts surrounding us.
We will remain just like a witness only of all the events of our life span.
Though, it would be an inner experience in the beginning. Slowly it would radiate throughout our whole body.
